About Josh
Role, training & NDIS experience
Joshua brings a strong background in health, fitness and human movement, with a genuine interest in helping people build confidence, independence and improve their overall wellbeing.
Since entering the fitness industry in 2019, Joshua has worked with people across a range of abilities, experiences and starting points. This has developed his ability to communicate clearly, adapt his approach and break activities down into practical, achievable steps based on the individual in front of him.
Within disability support, Joshua assists participants across community engagement, social and recreational activities, health and wellbeing, and the development of healthy everyday routines. This may include supporting participants to access the community, try new activities, become more physically active, build social confidence and work towards greater independence.
Currently completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation at the University of Wollongong, Joshua has a growing understanding of human movement, exercise and rehabilitation. He uses this knowledge to help participants engage in physical activity in a way that considers their individual abilities, goals and circumstances.
Joshua’s approach is supportive, practical and person-centred. He believes progress doesn’t need to be complicated — it comes from understanding what matters to each participant, meeting them where they’re at and helping them build the skills and confidence to become more involved in their health, daily life and community.
For Joshua, good support is about more than completing an activity. It’s about creating positive experiences, encouraging choice and helping each participant work towards greater confidence, independence and quality of life.
